Acne Facial

Time: 75 mins

Price: $125

Our acne facial consists of a skin analysis to look over the condition of the skin. We then cleanse the skin, steam and tone it. We apply a calming mask over the skin, cleanse the skin again and treat any breakouts that we can. Acne facials should be combined with an Intraceuticals Clarity Course Kit or an Alumier or Vivier Pharmaceutical Skincare Line for optimal results.

Chemical Peels

Time: 45 mins

Price: $125+

Chemical peels lead to skin resurfacing that aggressively removes hyperpigmentation, fine lines, acne breakouts, and acne scars.

Deep Cleansing Facial

Time: 75 mins

Price: $125

The deep cleansing facial starts with a double cleanse of the skin. Steam is applied to the skin for 15 minutes to open pores. Extractions are performed and a charcoal black mask is applied. Once the mask is removed, we tone the skin to close pores and apply a calming mask.

Dermaplaning

Time: 75 mins

Price: $150

DermaPlaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidemis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Using a scalpel and a delicate touch, we abrade the surface of the skin using light feathering strokes. DermaPlaning removes the outer most layers of dead skin cells, leaving the skin immediately smooth, supple and vibrant. DermaPlaning is another non invasive method of skin rejuvenation.

The procedure involves the use of a 10-inch scalpel, which curves into a sharp point. The blade is used on clean, dry skin on the forehead, cheeks, chin, nose and neck. You can expect to see an instant improvement in skin texture and tone, while the long-term effects are increased cell turnover, fewer wrinkles and dark spots, reduction of acne scarring, and the removal of fine facial hair.

How does Dermaplaning work?

We gently remove up to 2 to 3 weeks of rough, dead skin with a fine surgical-grade scalpel for deep exfoliation.

What areas can be treated with Dermaplaning?

DermaPlaning is most commonly performed on the face.

Are you a good candidate for Dermaplaning?

Anyone who wants to eliminate rough, dry skin, vellus hair, and mild acne scarring may be a good candidate for DermaPlaning.

Is Dermaplaning painful?

DermaPlaning is quick and completely painless.

How long does Dermaplaning take to perform?

After the skin has been cleansed and prepped, DermaPlaning takes about 30 minutes to perform.

What should you expect after a treatment?

Immediately after the procedure, the treated skin may appear slightly pink, but this should subside quickly. DermaPlaning will leave the skin smooth, radiant and glowing.

Does Dermaplaning require downtime?

DermaPlaning does not require any downtime. Patients can return to work and resume their daily routine after receiving treatment.

How often can you get Dermaplaning?

We recommend a treatment once every four weeks.

Who should NOT receive Dermaplaning?

DermaPlaning is a safe and effective treatment for the majority of skin types. However, patients with active acne or hyper sensitive skin should not receive DermaPlaning.

Microdermabrasion

Time: 30-45 mins

Price: $150 ($297 for 3 treatments, $450 for 6 treatments)

A microdermabrasion treatment is a quick, safe, and effective form of exfoliation for all skin types and colours with no downtime and virtually no discomfort. It is achieved by the use of diamond-tip technology to remove dead or damaged skin cells. Skin will appear softer, smoother, brighter, clearer, and younger looking.

Who can benefit?

Men and women of any skin type or colour can benefit. Anyone with aging, flaky, dry, devitalized, thickened, blemished, and sun damaged skin will be rejuvenated and refreshed. Blotchy and uneven skin tones will also be improved.

What areas of my skin can be treated?

The most common areas of treatment are the face, neck, shoulders, knees and elbows. Any body area can be treated.

Why microdermabrasion?

Approximately every 28 days we create a new layer of skin. As new cells form they push their way to the surface and then dead cells settle on the surface. This can cause enlarged pores, clogged pores, a bumpy uneven texture, and a dull appearance. As we age, this process slows down leading to the appearance of older skin with less radiance.

How does a diamond peel work?

This gentle exfoliation is performed with a diamond tip passing over the skin’s surface by creating a gentle vacuum. Microdermabrasion exfoliates approximately 20-25 microns of dead skin cells of the outermost layer (stratum corneum). Once removed, it reveals fresher, younger looking skin beneath.

How many treatments do I need?

The recommended amount is 6. Treatments are meant to be progressive, not aggressive. Results are most noticeable after the third treatment, although, it is common to see results after the first session. Maintenance treatments are suggested once every 4-6 weeks. If you are having Intense Pulse Light treatments, such as a photo facial, the usual interval is one microdermabrasion treatment 7-10 days prior to an IPL, then one 7-10 days after the IPL. They are often done as a series in combination with the IPL treatments.

How long does it take?

The treatment session is 30-45 minutes, depending on the body area.

Are there any side effects?

There is little to no downtime. One may experience a slight tingling, and the skin may feel tighter afterwards. Skin may appear slightly flushed and this generally fades in 12-24 hours. You may experience peeling or flaking - this is a sign of the cell renewal process being stimulated. If flaking occurs, simply use an exfoliant recommended by your skin care therapist 3-4 days after the treatment.

It is very important after to NOT EXERCISE. Where perspiration is created, you will develop a stinging sensation that can take several hours to dissipate.

Contraindications

If you suffer with cold sores, you should be symptom-free prior to a treatment to avoid the risk of spreading. Discuss with the technician if you have any of the following: severe rosacea, dermatitis, skin cancers, bruise easily, inflamed acne, hepatitis C, AIDS, or using blood thinners or Accutane.

If you use Retin-A products or any skin care products that irritate the skin, you should discontinue use 2-3 days before and after treatment.

If you use sun beds, do not tan for 2 weeks after a session.

If you are planning to have injectables such as Botox, Collagen or Restalyne, it is recommended to have them 2-5 days after a microdermabrasion.

Red Light Laser Facial

Time: 75 mins

Price: $150

The Red Light Facial uses innovative light technologies with multiple wavelengths to stimulate collagen production, treat acne, prevent future outbreaks, heal and calm blemishes, and reduce inflammation and redness. This treatment can accelerate healing and diminish bruising and scarring after lasers, peels, injectables and surgery.

What is a Red Light Laser Facial?

A red light laser facial combines advanced technology with a traditional facial in order to achieve more vibrant and youthful skin. It is an all-in-one treatment that includes exfoliation of the skin, opening of the pores and a gentle non invasive laser to stimulate collagen.

What are the benefits of a Red Light Laser Facial?

A red light laser facial safely stimulates collagen, eradicates the bacteria that causes acne, decreases pore sizes, minimizes fine lines, smooths out skin texture and tone, diffuses redness and scars, and evens out overall skin complexion.

How does the laser work on my skin?

The laser uses advanced science to specifically target the deeper layer of the skin where collagen is generated. It gently heats the skin, which stimulates new collagen production. This results in the continual increase of natural collagen over time, tighter pores, smoother skin and more even skin tone.

Who is the Ideal candidate for a Red Light Laser Facial?

Laser facials can be safely administered to the majority of skin types and tones. Laser facials are recommended for candidates who are in overall good health, who want to increase their natural collagen production and who have realistic expectations for the procedures results.

Is a Red Light Laser Facial painful?

Red light laser facials are not painful. Many patients report that the laser feels like warm water gently washing over the skin. In many cases, the warmth continues for to up to thirty minutes after the procedure.

How long does a Red Light Laser Facial take to perform?

After a quick facial analysis, we discuss your personal treatment goals, and prep the skin. The facial then takes about 45 minutes.

What should you expect after treatment?

Immediately after receiving a laser facial, the treated area may appear flushed and feel warm. This should subside within minutes.

Does a Laser Facial Require downtime?

The laser facial is non invasive and does not require any down time. The treated skin may appear flushed for about 5 to 10 minutes after the procedure, however this will quickly disappear. Patients can immediately resume their daily routine after the procedure.

How often can and should you receive Red Light Laser Facials for optimal results?

While results can be seen after just one facial, a series of six facials: one facial, for six consecutive weeks is highly recommended in order to achieve optimum results. Depending on the concern being addressed, your provider may recommend other treatments in conjunction, such as a peel or a Vampire Facelift. These may be alternated with the red light laser if needed.

What are the risks of a Laser Facial?

When receiving any laser treatment, it is important to protect your eyes.  We will provide protective eyewear in order to guard your eyes from accidental exposure to the laser.

Who should not receive a Red Light Laser Facial?

While the laser facial is compatible with most skin types and tones, Accutane and cancer patients should not receive laser facials.
